          Again and Again

I fell into a ditch
I thought to myself
I must have been blind
So I told myself
Never Again!
I shall open my mind
I shall throw the gates of my eyes
Really wide
Look at the deep, wide and high
Never fall again
Yet I fall, again and again.

                Dreams

Dreams, I was taught by the sages,
Are not idle musings of sleep
They are active lives at the edges

Of our minds, that are made to leap
Out-
When we cannot live them out
Yet we fervently long to
Or fervently shrink to!

Dreams: life as we desire it,
Life as we dread it,
Life lived – anyway
When we dream

Dreams – how shall we get there
Others ask,
And how shall we escape?
Yet others ask.
