Linda Lilian is an Assistant Lecturer at Mountains of the Moon University formerly a freelance journalist in the Ugandan media, where she contributed writings in form of features, short prose and poetry
 
 

Shush Hush

Shush my tone
Why go astray
Why talk to multitudes
What only a soul can know

Shush to all you see
How can you know so much?
When it is all you know
And it is what you know not

Hush oh voice
Speak within
Do not utter
All you will alter
Speak in me
Only in mind

Do not falter
Or there surely be fault
Do not speak out
Or there be a spark out

 Calm now
Come now
To a sail of innate know
Then there be true knowing
Not in what you say
But in what you sight
What you ear
