THE CHOICE
The silent dawn
Paves way for the bright sun
The nature beautiful
Opens up its lovely view
Sky, alike the blue sea
Unwraps with piercing rays
The delightful flowers
Swing along the morning breeze
The dewdrops twinkle
Stirring a volley of thoughts
While the playful birds
Please with songs to echo in hearts
The colorful butterflies too
Swing like surging dreams
Yes, in the realm of peace
This is how a day dawns.
But, in a war-torn territory
In a conflict raging province
People are bound to witness
Gloom by dawn and doom by night
Filled with cries of women and children
Midst burnt and damaged dwellings
With woe-filled faces of survivors,
Fear-stalking youth and old people
Where death dances with destruction
In the realm of war and conflicts
Yes, this is how the days prolong.
Oh humanity ! let our wisdom prevail
To choose between peace and turmoil.

THE FACT
The rose
I chose
To pluck
Had struck
A chord,
Sad
In heart
Of hearts.
The delight
The prospect
A rose possess
Is enormous
Yet,
A thought
Pricks
To pluck
And grab
The garb
Of beauty
In haste
of course.
A thorn
Hid beneath
Confiscate
Joy infinite,
Piercing
And shattering
Joys source
In a course
To impart
The fact
"Where
Beauty thrive,
There lurks
Thorny pricks"
