The Life of a Roll of Toilet Paper

There it hung on a plastic tube
At first it's full and plump
Till visits dwindled down its form
In service of the rump

With each rotation of its sheets
It knew the end was near
It savored every spin that was
A hygienic career

As duty called, it kept its shape
No matter what the chore
It gave its life to keep us clean-
A job most would abhor

Till finally, the tube showed through
The last square hanging on
It served the lavatory well
But soon it would be gone

Oh, how quickly you're replaced
Allegiance all for naught
But now it's time we parted ways
And quickly you're forgot.
