The Mona Lisa

Her appeal is universal
Something mysterious, enigmatic

Like the universe itself
She holds the secrets behind her eyes

The smile tantalizing in its awareness
But she will never say a word

To behold must be enough
To marvel and to wonder

 The beauty of her poise.

                 The Last Passage

is an individual journey
to be sure

but you will take with you
the hearts of a thousand innocents

and more

remembered in their tears
and the fondness of their laughter

you shall indeed
rise to a heavenly grace

that makes this life
transcendant.
