Transformation


The bird sings
from a tree
then flies
to the ground,
eats a seed,
newly fallen
from a pod.

The bird flies,
lands again
near a puddle,
hops and drinks,
flies and sings.

The bird
drops its feces
on the ground.

The seed
is freed,
its shell forgotten,
Free at last

A perfect spot,
wet and warm,
the roots go down.
The stem stretches up.

The bird
flies,
sings.

The plant
begins its journey
towards bloom.
