          Eclectic Insanity

The sweet disorder of the mind
brings cluttered poems
to be cleaned up and read
in literary circles
where a little madness
is celebrated. Dark depression
is swept away in lighted
passages of a confessional
nature. Some choosing
to mask deciminated dreams
under a litany of moaning
verses, the chorus of which
allows weeping repetition
to convey the depths
to which a poet will dig
into the pysche. Allow
the true voice of insecurity
to howl items so inconsequential
that the audience of like minds
begins to squirm, drown
in thier own self-delusional
strait jackets, and pray
for a time when normal
is a glass of red dry wine
and a trip down memory avenue
via the local pub
after the cleansing is done.
