We've had a very busy winter.
As members of the
Canada Cuba Literary Alliance,
my husband and I are privilege of being Ambassadors of the
alliance. Our
trip to Cuba
began at the end of January.
Two weeks spent on the wonderful island of sunshine and warmth.
:-)
It’s a time
when we meet with our Cuban counterparts and ambassadors. Along
with Richard Grove, CCLA President, they are key in arranging
our workshops, readings, as our tour guides and
translators. Without them, it would be most difficult
otherwise.
We also meet with Cuban poets and writers who join in our
workshops. The creativity
and talent is amazing!
The Canada
Cuba Literary Alliance
membership offers many publishing opportunities,
receive The Ambassador, our literary journal also The Envoy,
our newsletter. Members have a
great opportunity to become involved in a literary venture!
Those who
travel to Cuba enjoy a ‘working -holiday’ during the winter
season.
Last
November, a book launch of poetry compilation,
Hola Cuba, a
publication of our poetry written in Cuba or, about Cuba by our
members. Published by Hidden Brook Press.
