Charles Frederickson—Poet—Bangkok Thailand

Charles Frederickson is a fiercely independent unbridled maverick, No Holds Bard. He bucks mundane routine with ticklish fancy gusto, feisty vagabond moxie and feigned hyperbolic flair.

PISTACHIO PEACE

I scream for nice cream
Rocky road unpaved Goodbar sintentions
Neopolitan triple scoop flaky Americone
Never on Sundae sabbathtub drained

Vanilla supremacy praline pecan prejud-ice
Trumping macadamia floating island certification
What lies beneath mocha-motive bias
Bittersweet tooth hateful fear falsehoods

Half-baked cookie dough mint inflation
Milk shaky berried treasure-chest confidence
Freakonomy debt neither norange sorbet
Spumoney matters meltdown dribbling chinny-chin-chin

Do-or-diet low-fat caramel sutra cheesecake
Dreamsicle on tongue depressor stick
Below parfait rasp-straw polecat skunks
Flavorites manipulated by hatemonger fear

I yell for yellow banananas
Appealing tutti-frutti tricolor plantain split
Marsh-mellow topping chunky fudged revelry
Cheery cherry taken for pomegranate

No Holds Bard Dr. Charles Frederickson

4N

Tired of being native-bored foreigner
Plotting predestined journey anywhere else
Restless get up & go longing
Gut impulses got up & went

Parting glances bent mirror distortions
Time warped image wishing invisibility
Anima hiding behind disappearing reflection
Searching for hidden novel solutions

At first everything seemed stranger than
Fiction true-false almost matters-of-fact
Lidless dark eyes scrutinizing cover-ups
Shameless bare-naked fake realities exposed

Uncommon scents sounds tastes recycled
Bumpy road wrong side distractions
In transit no return ticket
Gone too far jumpstart choked

Rewriting last chapter never-ending surprise
Standstill timelessness unscripted hour-to-day improv
Uprooted loamy soil thorny transplant
Grown accustomed to being displaced

On second thought umpteenth reconsideration
One size tight fit squeeze
Reversible skin lining turned outside-in
Aware nothing’s changed except me

No Holds Bard Charles Frederickson

I AM THAT I AM

Inside looking out through blinds
Stardust settling on fairytale illusions
Fables becoming all too real
Slatted filters shadowy mistaken identity

Withdrawn recluse occasionally seeking company
Allowing fragility to be handheld
Exotic cancelled stamp postmark smudged
Beyond resurrection not quite yet

Butterfly siphoned flowers claim immunity
Noctilucent clouds bloom on demand
Longing crashes into windowpane reflection
Lusty passion masquerading as love

Burdensome shell molted long ago
Shy gecko flashes slimy tongue
Tasteless censors wrapped around prey
Suspended judgment ceiling patch stuck

Sheltered existence safe trappings shed
Reborn as clinging flaky speck
Stale air choking standstill motionlessness
Cobwebbed corners secure darkness aglow

No Holds Bard Dr. Charles Frederickson

HUMANIMALS

Closer to ants than butterflies
Relatively content munching grassy blades
Prudent communal framework laboringly wise
Vagabondage workers never taking leave

Nature neither kind not cruel
Wicked stepmother harsh unforgiving parent
Life wouldn’t be family piquenique
Save leftover invaders devouring carrion

Two- four- six- eight- legged
Creeptures protective domains tromped upon
Plagues blights maggoty forsaken grubs
Stirred-up nests hiving bee honeycombs

Carved tunnel illusions dug-in colonies
Vague amber clarities prospecting gold
Cave-in darkness felling groundless flight
Mesmeric trances haunting indigo nightmares

Superiority complex patronizing inferior underlings
Endowed with remote sensory gifts
Lost clumsy giants cannot attain
Unheard voices beyond attuned sonar

Grasping double-faced mirrororrim image crystals
Fame is prismatic magnifying glass
Bent sunrays distorting heightened surreality
Marshmallowy pismires burnt toast crisp
