I am a Software Engineer by profession. Poetry writing is one of my hobbies. I write poems which are realistic and situation based. All my poems have a cheerful lyric and depict positive attitude.

       Away From Solitude

I sit alone in my room

Wrapped warmly in my quilt

Waiting for the phone to ring soon

Feeling not an inch of guilt.

There's a feel of comfort though

With my loved ones so close by

But the feeling is not near enough

When unable to see them eye to eye.

As I take a light nap

I dream through the dusty street

Scorching sun above my cap

And grains of sand beneath my feet

My heart so heavy as I creep by

As if I lost the battle

Unable to keep contact through eye

Like a coward cattle.

I hear an inner voice-

As long as I am here

You don’t need to fear

Walk with your head high

Don’t let anyone pass you by

I will always stand beside

Don’t loose your sense of pride

As long as I am your own

You will never be alone.

As I woke up from my solitude

Experiencing tremendous change of altitude

I feel a great relief

With my conscience's positive belief.
