Niloofar Sadeghi, Poet -- Tehran, Iran

 
Born and lives in Tehran. Studied polymer engineering and received her MBA certificate in 2008. She works for an engineering company and teach business English. Niloofar loves reading and has a soft spot for mysteries and thrillers.
 

 
                               Sweet Nightmare

I reach out to you, a sudden need in me to make sure I am not dreaming,
and there you are, such a velvet touch, smiling your way back into my heart.

Useless to try to utter any of those thousands of words dancing on my lips,
so hard even to let out a breath.

I look at the sky...the captive suns are all up, chasing the holy night out of their way.

It is as if I have not been living before this moment and would have no life if it is gone.

I am amazed, I look back at you, and the moment is gone.
